Precision Nickel Plating for Durable Industrial Finishes
We deliver bright, semi-bright and dull nickel finishes for decorative and engineering applications, combining corrosion resistance, hardness and controlled surface quality for demanding industrial components.
Nickel Plating for Protection, Strength and Finish
At Smart Microns, we provide bright nickel plating through efficient processes, strong quality control and dedicated customer service. Our nickel plating capabilities include bright, semi-bright and full-dull deposits with smooth finishes and excellent corrosion resistance for decorative and engineering applications.
Our electrolytic nickel plating can produce a highly reflective shine, a satin appearance or a full-dull matte finish. The deposited layer forms a less porous barrier over the base metal, helping improve corrosion protection under standard atmospheric conditions.
With a melting point of 1455°C, nickel is suitable for high-temperature applications. It can also be used to increase surface thickness, durability and stress resistance, either as an intermediate underplate or as the final finish. Depending on the requirement, we can provide a shiny surface for aesthetic applications or a matte finish for engineering applications.

FAQs
What is nickel electroplating?
Nickel electroplating is the process of depositing a layer of nickel onto another metal to improve corrosion resistance, hardness, wear resistance and surface finish.
What finish options does Smart Microns offer?
We offer bright nickel, semi-bright nickel, and dull or matte nickel finishes for decorative and engineering applications.
Which base materials can be nickel plated?
We can plate mild steel, stainless steel, copper, copper alloys, brass, aluminium alloys and specialised materials such as Inconel, Kovar, Monel, cobalt-chrome and lead.
Can nickel plating be used as both an underplate and a final finish?
Yes. Nickel plating can function as an intermediate underplate or as the final plated surface, depending on the component requirement.
Which specifications does your nickel plating support?
Our nickel plating capabilities support QQ-N-290, ASTM B689, AMS 2403, ISO 1458 and customer-specific specifications.
